# Participant information and consent (draft)

## What participation involves
|
|
|
|
You may be asked to provide several genuine signatures and, if applicable,
|
|
clearly identified simulated forgeries. The capture may include pen/cursor
|
|
position, timestamps, pressure, and contact area when the device provides them.
|
|
The purpose is to evaluate a research algorithm; the system is experimental and
|
|
must not be used for legal identity decisions.
|
|
|
|
## Data use and protection
|
|
|
|
The study team will use the collected data for the stated research purpose.
|
|
Signature dynamics can be sensitive biometric information. The project should
|
|
use participant codes instead of names, limit access, encrypt stored templates,
|
|
set a deletion date, and explain any sharing or publication of derived results.
|
|
The researcher must fill in the actual retention and deletion arrangements
|
|
before presenting this form.

## Voluntary participation

Participation is voluntary. You may stop at any time and may request removal of
|
|
