She’s probably hoping he’ll give her one.

She’s busy washing and drying dishes but hasn’t noticed that the kitchen sink has overflowed, and water is pouring out onto the floor.
It’s a funny scene because you can imagine the chaos that’s about to unfold either the boy will fall, or the mother will finally realize the flood in her kitchen.
But for now, everyone seems oblivious to the mess.
